Our story
Somebody bright, hired for judgement, spending Tuesday copying numbers between two tabs.
That is the scene in most growing businesses. Someone else is chasing a status nobody wrote down. A third person is rebuilding a report that already existed last month. Everyone is busy, everyone is capable, and almost none of it is the work they were hired for.
Nobody chose it. It accumulated. A tool here, a spreadsheet there, a habit that became a process because it worked when the company was a third of the size.
And because it accumulated quietly, it is invisible on every dashboard except the one measuring how tired the team is.
There is no line item for "four hours a week of retyping", so it never gets prioritised against anything. The obvious fix. hire another person, makes the cost permanent and the process no more reliable than the last time somebody was on leave.
Automations break exactly where the real work lives.
We started where most people do: connect the tools, automate the obvious steps. It helped, and then it stopped helping. The obvious steps were never the problem. The problem was the exceptions nobody documents and the judgement calls nobody wrote down.
That is where agents earn their place. It is also where most agent projects quietly fail, because a demo is not a system. An agent that answers well on a good day and invents an answer on a bad one is not something you can put in front of a customer.
What was missing was never the model. It was the engineering around it.
Boundaries on what it can touch. A human signature on anything irreversible. Tests, monitoring, and a record of every decision it made and why. The half of the work that decides whether a system survives its first month in production.
So we built a studio for exactly that
One belief, one method, one kind of output. Everything we take on has to pass all three.
To free people from repetitive work.
People are at their best on the work that takes judgement, care, and a human being. The copying, the checking, the chasing. a system can carry all of it.
We build the system, and give that time back to everyone in the business.
- Time returned, not headcount added
- Nobody is measured on retyping
- The dull work stops being a job
By building the software and agents your business runs on.
Grounded in your data. Connected to the tools you already use. Trusted with real decisions, and engineered to still be right on day three hundred, not just on the day of the demo.
A free audit first, then one fixed-price build, then expansion on evidence.
- Understand the work before the tech
- Name the number before we start
- Ship in slices, prove each one
Agentic systems, custom AI engineering, and the infrastructure underneath.
Engineered end to end and handed over as yours: the code, the repository, the documentation, the runbooks.
Whether you keep us afterwards is your decision, not a contractual one.
- Production software, not prototypes
- Tested, monitored, guardrailed
- Yours to run without us
Your people are better than the work they are stuck doing.
That belief is the whole reason MagicMakers exists. We are here to make your business lighter.
Every system we ship should mean somebody, somewhere, stopped doing something dull. That is the test. If a build cannot pass it, we would rather not take the work.
Six rules we learned the hard way
Each one came from a project that taught it to us. They decide what we take on and what we walk away from.
Understand the work first
We sit with the people doing the job before we touch the tech. The exceptions and workarounds are the actual requirements.
Accountable to a number
Hours returned, response time, error rate. Agreed before we start, reported honestly after. including when it disappoints.
You own everything
Code, repository, documentation, cloud accounts, runbooks. No black box, no hostage fee, no lock-in as a business model.
Built so someone else can run it
Documented, tested, handed over in a state another engineer can pick up. If only we can maintain it, we built it wrong.
Senior hands only
The people in the scoping call are the people writing the code. No handover to a junior team after the contract is signed.
We say no
If the fix is a process change, a cheaper tool, or nothing at all, we say so. A build that cannot justify itself is not worth taking.
An engineering studio for the systems your business is missing.
Custom software and agentic AI, engineered end to end and handed over as yours. Not a consultancy with a deck, and not an automation shop wiring tools together. Every engagement ends with something running in production. and your story picks up where ours left off.
